The Start of 2016: The first photo shows the Regis in use as the first car of 1st January 2016 - always nice to start as you mean to go on!
Mr Bond has a Regis in a dismantled state as my car was, in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK. He called to see my Regis whilst visiting Family in Sydney and had a good look at my car.
About mid year, the dynamo failed and operated for a short time once the 4.5 amp fuse was replaced but became totally U/S even blowing new fuses as they were replaced. The front of the car was dismantled to give access to the timing case and once the case was off, I could check and mark the timing ready for reassembly. The dynamo was sent for repair which was supposedly to take two weeks but ended up as a three month saga. The dynamo bearings and insullation were renewed and the car is now back in running order. Electronic ignition had been fitted to make life easier - no points to clean! This cannot be seen unless the distributor cap is removed.
The car had been used for wedding in the Tillermans Family so a pic was taken outside their Tea Gardens Restaurant. A last photo of the year was taken at Viney Creek Road with the water storage towers behind. Usually, in this area, I have the waters of Port Stephens in the background of the photo.
Mileage for the year was only 1068 as opposed to 1988 miles in 2015 and 2656 in 2014!
The Start of 2017. The Regis started the year at 68097 miles and was the first car to be driven on 1st January 2017 with a trip of 4 miles around Hawks Nest.
